Being raised in a large Italian family, there were plenty of family gatherings where her mom did most of the cooking. Her mom taught her everything she had learned growing up in her parent's restaurant.
Then her grandma moved in, she was born and raised on a farm in Teano, Italy. She became the strongest influence on her rustic style of cooking." Use everything and waste nothing".
In 1999 she opened her first restaurant Sorellina Ristorante. Five years later Trattoria Tazza was opened in Homer Glen and in 2010 Tazza Italian Ristorante was born. She found designing and building the restaurants was just as exciting as her passion for cooking in them.
Anyone who knows her can see the passion in her eyes and the excitement in her voice when she talks about cooking. When asked what makes her happy? Her response is simply "sitting down at the table with my children, my grandson, my family and friends watching them enjoy my home cooked meals as much as I do."
Everything at Tazza is made fresh to order. We hope you enjoy our homemade recipes as much as our family does.
